The Upgrade item is a special evolution item that trainers can use to evolve Porygon into Porygon2. This transformation requires an upgrade as well as an upgrade, Sinnoh Stone and 50 Porygon Candy.

Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is used. They can be purchased from players or vendors, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or created with crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects as well as offering bonus points for attributes.
Upgrade components include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not accessible to the general public and can only be used on equipment that has been elevated or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions can be recovered or inscriptions, as well as enrichments from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device, or by salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Upgrade components can be added to an item, but the old one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or more can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. If you upgrade an existing weapon that already has an upgrade suffix or prefix the item will be referred to as it appears on the game screen (for instance, adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can own up to 3 upgrade items at once.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent addition to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, increasing its effectiveness. These glyphs are obtained through completing Dungeons. Some can even be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It's important to remember that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a root-dungeon of the same level of depth.
In order to use a Glyph it is necessary to create it using components and connect them to anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can make use of an array of anchors and paths. Then, drag the element near an element highlighted to snap it into place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be met for example, 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated, which can be difficult to attain. Certain glyphs also have a radius that increases as you move it up.
Glyphs are used for various items, and can be added to all weapons except for the weapons of a particular class. Some of these glyphs also have conditional requirements for example, like having a certain number of dexterity or attack damage in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the probability of preventing enemy attacks by 5%. It also has 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that could be applied to limited-use tools like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack glyphs, which increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are especially useful for classes that are ranged, such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph makes enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used for rerolling a result rolled during an Action. They are removed when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens can be obtained in a variety of ways, including raids and dungeons or through participation in skirmishes. You can also purchase them at the shop or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards at the bottom of the chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. If an item is recycled it will add a certain amount of points to the upgrade gauge. This is based on the rarity of the item and its level. In addition, the upgraded item won't keep its level after rerolling and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up with its level.
The player may also use reroll tokens to roll an item. However it won't restore the item's original stats or level. This is useful for players who want to reroll a product they aren't happy with but still want to keep it in their collection.
There are three kinds of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll, random, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example come in three categories: rare, legendary and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create the new item of that quality.
To use reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens available are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. Utilizing an Item token will create an entirely new Item of any kind. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon of the same faction.
There is also the possibility that the item could be upgraded to a new item with an increased level and the same additional stats. This could happen when the item is placed in the Pool that cannot be dropped or was transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
